While we've been enjoying the excitement of the media storm over "Generational Sins" (2017), Third Brother Films is simultaneously hard at work on the next project! The first table read for "Beast in Me" (2018) took place this past week and was a great success, as well as a needed development in the process of bringing this film to life. Table reading is an important step in the process of developing a film and allows the screenwriters and pre-production team to develop a deeper understanding of the life and flow of the script and its characters.
Third Brother Films was honored to have the participation of a full team of 10 very talented actors, mostly SAG members. We were happy to attract a very talented group of artists to test drive the fourth official draft of this screenplay. It was a pleasure to have both some familiar friends and also some new faces at the table.
Throughout the read, the participants were deeply engaged and also became emotionally connected to the characters and story. As the reading progressed, the talent and production team were more and more passionate about "Beast in Me" and, by the end of the read, were deep in thought from the emotional rollercoaster of reading the script and feeling for the characters that were brought to life in the room. It was an exhilarating and emotional journey for all. Third Brother Films is charting new territory, both with the completed film "Generational Sins" (2017) and also with their next project, "Beast in Me" (2018).
With the experience of and feedback from the table read, a fifth version of the screenplay is in development. Casting decisions have not yet been made, but we will keep you updated on the progress every step of the way.
